Born on 22-11-1950 at Nellore. Graduated from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada and studied Law in Osmania University, Hyderabad. Enrolled as an Advocate in 1972 with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and joined the office of his father Sri G.V.Subrahmanyam, who was a leading light of Nellore Bar. Joined State Judicial Service in 1976 and worked as Munsif Magistrate and promoted as Subordinate Judge in 1987 and became member of the A.P.State Higher Judicial Service and appointed as District Judge, in the year 1992. Worked as Additional District Judge, Kurnool, Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad, Special Judge for Economic Offences, Hyderabad, Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Hyderabad and District & Sessions Juge, Krishna at Machilipatnam. Also functioned as Additional Director, A.P. Judicial Academy. Attended the programme of training for trainers on 'Gender and Law' in U.K in 1996. On return from U.K., and as a follow-up, participated in judicial colloquia in several states, which were conducted by the National Judicial Academy in collaboration with the British Council and State Judicial Academies for training judicial officers on several aspects of gender and law. Also worked as Registrar (Judicial), Registrar (Vigilance) and Registrar (Administration), High Court of Andhra Pradesh from May 1997 to December 2002. Worked as Secretary, Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Elevated to the Bench as Additional Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh and was sworn in on 24-05-2006. Appointed as permanent Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh w.e.f. 19-12-2007 F.N. Retired on attaining the age of superannuation on the afternoon of 21-11-2012.
