HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.SATYANARAYANA RAJU

Hon’ble Sri Justice P. Satyanarayana Raju was born on 17th August, 1908. Educated in Board High School, Tanuku, West Godavari District and Maharajah’s College, Vizianagaram. Took Law Degree from Law College, Madras and joined the Madras Bar in 1930. Associated himself with late Sri T. Prakasam for 3 years and later with Sri P. Satyanarayana Rao, who was an accredited leader of the Madras Bar. Became the Government Pleader of the Composite state of Madras in 1950 and State Counsel in 1951. When Andhra State was formed he became the Government Pleader of Andhra State in 1953. Appointed as Judge of Andhra High Court from 1st November, 1954. Acted as Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court once in November, 1963 and again in June, 1964. Again appointed as Acting Chief Justice on 23rd November 1964 and as permanent Chief Justice on 30th December, 1964.
