Hon’ble Sri Justice Y. Venkateswara Rao was born on 31st October, 1909. Educated at Elementary School, Atreyapuram, Town Middle School, Government Model Secondary School at Rajahmundry, Madras Christian College, Madras, Government Arts College, Rajahmundry, Law College, Madras. Enrolled as Advocate of High Court of Madras on 15.8.1935. Did both Civil and Criminal Original and Appellate work at Rajahmundry. District Munsif in the Composite Madras State 1942-1951 and Sub-Judge from 1951 to 1957. District & Sessions Judge in Andhra Pradesh from November, 1957 to June 1961. Registrar, High Court of Andhra Pradesh from June 1961 to August 1964. Reappointed as Registrar on 31.10.1964 after retirement. Appointed as Additional Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 21.8.1967 until the close of High Court for summer vacation in 1968. Reappointed for 2 years from 29.4.1968 as Judge Appointed as permanent Judge from 24.11.1969. Retired on 31.10.1971.
