Hon’ble Sri Justice Y.V. Narayana was born on 15.12.1937 in a remote village called Kankatapalem in Bapatle Taluq, Guntur District. Passed B.Com, LL.B, obtained degree in the commerce from Hindu College, Guntur Law degree from Osmania University. Enrolled as an advocate on 25.06.1962. Joined in the office Sri Justice Avula Sambasiva Rao. Later worked along with Sri B. Ramalingeswara Rao, and also worked with P. RajaRao. Elevated as a permanent Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 02.05.1995. Retired on 15.12.1999.
