THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE TAMADA GOPALA KRISHNA

Hon’ble Sri Justice Tamada Gopala Krishna was born on 11th April, 1949 to late Suryanarayana, a distinguished Advocate and an illustrious father, had his early education at Parvathipuram and Bobbili in Vizianagaram District. Later he did his graduation and obtained a degree in Commerce from Andhra Loyala College, Vijayawada and a degree in Law from University Law College of Andhra University. Enrolled himself as an Advocate in the year 1975 and practised at Parvathipuram till 1980, associating himself with Sri R.V. Ramana, a Senior Advocate and a junior of his late father. He shifted his practice to Hyderabad and joined the office of Sri C. Padmanabha Reddy, the leading Criminal Lawyer in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh. His Lordship commanded good practice in all branches of law, i.e., Criminal, Civil and Writs. He worked as an Assistant Government Pleader during the year 1981-1983. Before elevation to the Bench, he was the Standing Counsel for Visakhapatnam Port Trust and Visakhapatnam Dock Labour Board. He was elected as the President of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Advocates’ Association for the year 2000-2001. Elevated as a Additional Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court and sworn on 10.09.2001 and appointed as permanent Judge on 31.07.2002. Retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 10.04.2011.
