Hon’ble Sri Justice S. Obul Reddi was born on 9th April, 1916. Educated at Board High School, Nandalur, Government Arts College, Anantapur, Presidency College Madras and Law College, Madras. Enrolled as an Advocate on 26th July, 1943. Appointed as District and Sessions Judge, Grade-II from 15th January, 1955 to 8th December,1959 and as District and Sessions Judge, Grade I from 9th December, 1959 onwards. Worked as Registrar, High Court of Andhra Pradesh from 10th April, 1957 to 30th April, 1959.
Appointed as Additional Judge, Andhra Pradesh High Court for 2 years from 8th July, 1966. Appointed as permanent Judge on 22nd April, 1967. Appointed as Permanent Judge on 22nd April, 1967.
Appointed as Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court on 1st June, 1974. Acted as Governor of Andhra Pradesh from 26th January, 1975 to 10th January, 1976. Transferred as chief justice of Gujarat High Court on 7th July, 1976. Re-transferred as Chief Justice of A.P., High Court, on 19th August, 1977 and worked till 8th April, 1978. Retired on 9.4.1978.
