HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE S. MADHUSUDAN RAO

Hon’ble Sri Justice S. Madhusudan Rao was born on 5.10,1920. Had his early education at Upper Middle School, Salur at Upper High School, Parvathipuram. Had his College Education at Mrs. A.V.N. College, Visakhapatnam. Took his Law Degree from Law College, Poona with distinction in Hindu Law and Transfer of Property and secured first rank. Enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Madras in April, 1943. Did Civil and Criminal work, mostly sessions work at Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam. In 1958 he was appointed by the Government as Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the ‘Kalivaram Dacoity Case’. Was directly recruited as a District and Sessions Judge in June 1959 and worked a such till July, 1969 when he was promoted as Grade-I District Judge. Worked as Chairman, Tribunal for Disciplinary Proceedings, Hyderabad, Chief Judge City Civil Court and Principal Sessions Judge, Hyderabad. In February 1972 he represented the State of Andhra Pradesh at the All India Seminar of District Judges held at Bombay. Appointed as permanent Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh w.e.f. 17.10.1974.
