Born on 20.07.1947 to late Mr. S.Santhiagu and late Mrs. Savariammai both were teachers. Native Place is Tenkulam Pudur, Tirunelveli District. Wife’s name is Mrs. Ebi Ashok Kumar, M.A. of Karungulam, Tirunelveli District. Have four children, two sons and two daughters.
Studied st Form to P.U.C. at St. Xavier’s High School and College, Palayamkottai; B.Sc., at St. John’s College, Palayamkottai; M.Sc., at St. Joseph’s College, Trichy and B.L. at Law College, Madras.
Practised at Tirunelveli Bar from 1971 to 1987.

Sons are: (1) A.Augustin Baskar, B.E., B.L., Director and Chief Executive of Overseas Operations in India of a Malaysian Company; His wife is Mrs.A.Sabitha Bhaskar, B.D.S., Dentist (2) A.Edwin Prabakar, B.L., Addl. Government Pleader, High Court, Madras; His wife is Mrs. Mahalakshmi Prabakar, consultant Psychologist in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and National Institute of Fashion Technology at Chennai.
Daughters are: (1) Mrs. Bobby Arun, wife of Mr. P.Arun Rajendran (Son-in-law), Executive in HCL Technologies at Chennai, son of Mr. P.Rajendran, Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu. (2) Miss A.Mary Brinda, B.Tech, and M.Sc., in Molecular and Genetic Medicine in England and employed in United Kingdom.
Assumed charge as a Judge of A.P. High Court on transfer from Madras High Court on 24.03.2008 F.N.
Retired as Judge, High Court of A.P., on attaining the age of superannuation on 20.07.2009 F.N.
