Born on 05-03-1951 at Rajahmundry, East Godavari District to Smt. Simhachalam & Late Sri Kolla Veeraswamy. His father was a reputed businessman in Rajahmundry known for simplicity, sincerity, integrity and generosity.

Obtained B.Com., degree from D.R. Goenka Government College, Tadepalligudem. Obtained B.L. Degree from Andhra University Law College, Visakhapatnam. Obtained L.L.M. Degee from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Enrolled as Advocate in the year 1975. Associated as junior in the office of the reputed senior counsel Sri S.R.K.Hanumantha Rao at Rajahmundry.
Joined Judicial Service as District Munsif in 1981 and worked at Kovvur, Eluru, Waltair etc.
