HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE I. VENKATANARAYANA

Hon’ble Sri Justice I. Venkatanarayana was born on 2nd April 1940 at Chittoor of Andhra Pradesh, India. He had his early education at district Board High School, Chittoor and Intermediate in Pachiyappa’s College, Madras University. He obtained M.A. Degree in Economics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi and did his LL.B from Delhi University. He hails from a respectable family and his father Sri Inti Muniswamy Naidu was a leading lawyer at Chittoor. He joined the High Court Bar and was associated with Sri T.Anantha Babu, Senior Advocate and present Advocate-General. He is a member of the International Law Association and he represented the association at MONTREAL (CANADA) in 1982 and at WASHINGTON in 1992. He is also a Member of the Governing Council of the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi and has successfully conducted two International Law Conferences on Human Rights & Child Labour. He is an Executive Member of the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Proceedings. As a Senior Advocate he commanded large volume of work and argued number of important cases on Constitution, Company Law and Taxation. He was a Standing Counsel for A.P. Housing Board and number of nationalised banks and companies. He was elevated as Addl. Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 17th May 1999 and as Judge w.e.f. 20th April 2000. In a short span of one year and three months he has delivered number of important judgments on civil law. Retired on 2.04.2002.
