Hon’ble Sri Justice H. Ananthanarayan Ayyar was born on 24th November, 1907. Educated at St. Xaviers High School, Palamcottah, Hindu College, Tirunelvelli St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirapalli: later studied at London on University. Joined Indian Civil Service in December, 1932 and worked as Assistant and Sub Collector before his posting for Judicial Training as Additional District Munsif in July, 1941. Appointed as Additional District Judge in January, 1943 and District Judge in December, 1944. Worked as Chairman, Disciplinary Proceedings tribunal from 1953 to 1955. Worked as Secretary, Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh from 6th January, 1957 to 10th November, 1958. Chief Judge, City Civil Court at Hyderabad from 30th April, 1959 to 20th October, 1959. Confirmed as Grade-I District Judge from 21st February, 1955. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh for 2 years from 21.10.1959 and reappointed as Additional Judge from 21.10.1961. Permanent Judge from 9.2.1962. Retired on 24.11.1969.
