Hon’ble Dr. Justice Gurugubelli Yethirajulu was born on 1.7.1947 at Fareedpeta Village, Etcherla Mandal, Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh, India. He had High School education at Kinthali Village. Obtained B.Sc degree from Government Arts College Srikakulam. A Gold Medalist and a first class Law Graduate from Andhra University Law College, Visakhapatnam, M.A. in Public Administration from Andhra University. LL.M in Constitutional Law from Nagpur University. Awarded Ph.D in Law from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Enrolled as an Advocate from A.P. Bar Council on 31.12.1973. A Junior of Sri P.L.N. Sarma, a leading Civil Advocate at Srikakulam. Practised independently from 21.1.1977 in all branches of Law till 10.2.1986. Appointed as a District and Sessions Judge by direct recruitment from the Bar and his first appointment was as IInd Addl. District & Sessions Judge, Cuddapah. Worked as I Addl. District Judge, Cuddapah, Ist Addl. District Judge East Godavari at Rajahmundry, Chairman, Industrial Tribunal, Warangal, Prl. District Judge, Warangal, Spl. Judge for CBI Cases, Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Director, A.P. Judicial Academy, Chief Judge, City Civil Court at Hyderabad. Registrar (Administration) and Registrar General, High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad. Elevated to the Bench of A.P.High Court as an Additional Judge on 13.12.2001. Sworn in as Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh w.e.f. 06.03.2003. Appointed as the Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad and assumed charges on the afternoon of 31.01.2009. Retired as Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 01.07.2009 F.N on attaining the age of superannuation ie., 62 years.
