Born on April 4, 1943 He did his graduation B.A. After that he did his LL.B., He Enrolled as an Advocate on March 23, 1967. He practised in the District Courts of Himachal Pradesh on Originaland Appellate side from 1967 to 1975. Thereafter, practised in Himachal Pradesh High Court, Shimla in all branches of law i.e Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Taxation and labour, till elevation as Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
He was appointed as permanent Judge of Himchal Pradesh High Court on June 25, 1990 and subsequently transferred as Judge, Delhi High Court with effect from 28th April, 1994.He was appointed as Executive Chairman of Delhi State Legal Services Authority and looking after Legal Aid Movement in Delhi and holding of Lok Adalats for prompt disposal of cases.
He was Acting Chief Justice, Delhi High Court on four different occasions.
He sworn-in as Chief Justice, High Court of Judicature of Andhra Pradesh on 6th March, 2003. His Lordship retired from the service on attaining the age of Superannuation w.e.f 04-04-2005 F.N.
