Hon’ble Sri Justice Ch. S.R.K. Prasad was born on 2nd January, 1943 in an agricultural family at Tenali, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Son of late Mr. Sivaramaiah Chowdary, a leading practitioner and Ex.Bar Council Member and President of Bar Association. He had his school education at Municipal Boys High School, Tenali. And did his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree from Loyala College, Vijayawada, Andhra University in the year 1960. Obtained B.L. degree from Andhra University in the year 1963. He did apprenticeship under the guidance of Sri D. Narasa Raju, former Advocate General. Enrolled as an Advocate on 29.5.1964, practised on Civil and Criminal side at Tenali. Entered into State Subordinate Judiciary and appointed as District Munsif on 9.11.1973. Promoted as Subordinate Judge on 24.10.1980. Promoted as District Judge Grade – II on 30.5.1987. Worked as III Addl. District Judge, Thirupathi and also as Chairman-cum-Presiding Officer, Labour Court II at Hyderabad and other places. Promoted as Grade-I District Judge on 22.7.1996. Interested in planting trees and writing Telugu poetry. Worked as Principal District and Sessions Judge at Ananthapur, Nalgonda and Visakhapatnam. Elevated to the Bench as an Additional Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 13.12.2001. Sworn in as Judge of High Court of A.P. w.e.f. 6.3.2003. He was retired on 02.01.2005 FN.
