Hon’ble Sri Justice Satyabrata Sinha was born on August 8, 1944 at Dhanbad in State of Bihar, India. He passed Matriculation Examination from H.E. School, Dhanbad. Obtained B.L. Degree from Chotanagpur Law College in 1967. Joined the Bar at Dhanbad District Court in 1968. Shifted the practice to Ranchi after Constitution of Permanent Bench of Patna High Court in 1976. Designated as Senior Advocate by Patna High Court. He was appointed as first Government Advocate of Ranchi Bench of Patna High Court after creation of that post. Elevated to Patna High Court Bench w.e.f. 9-3-1987. Transferred to the Calcutta High Court on 11.5.1994.
Appointed as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court w.e.f. 11.12.2000.
