Hon’ble Sri Justice J.R.Vimadalal was born on 11th March, 1915 educated at Cathedral and John Connon High School, Bhards. New High School, Elphinstone College, Government of Law College, Bombay. Enrolled as an Advocate (A.S.)., on 7-9-1936. Advocate (O.S.)., on 24-8-1939, and Advocate of Supreme Court on 7-9-1941. Did all types of Original, Civil and Criminal cases in Bombay. Appointed Judge of the Bombay City Civil Court and Additional Sessions Judge on 20-2-1958. Appointed as Principal Judge of the Bombay City Civil Court and Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay on 1-12-1963. Appointed as Additional Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Bombay on 25th April, 1967 for a period of two years. Appointed permanent Judge on 26th October, 1967. Transferred to the High Court of Andhra Pradesh with effect from 24-6-1976. Retired on 11-3-1977.
