Hon’ble Sri Justice B.S. Raikote was born on 07.10.1937 at Shahapur Village in Gulbarga District of Karnataka State. Obtained M.A., LL.M., Degrees and did M.A. in Philosophy from Karnataka University, Dharwar in the year 1961. Obtained LL.M., with first rank from Karnataka University, Dharwar in the 1965. Enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1965. Joined as Junior under Sri M. Nagappa, Advocate at Arichur from 1966 to 1968. In 1968 shifted practice to the High Court of Karnataka in Bangalore . Joined the office of Sri Manohar Rao. Elevated as a Judge of High Court of Karnataka on 25.02.1994 and on transfer joined as a Judge of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 21.03.1994. Retired on 07.10.1999.
